ABOUT US... We are a family business, originally based in Cardiff, Wales, but now relocated to Australia. We have over the years developed a reputation for crafting high quality jewellery from the best available materials. Traditionally most of our customers are introduced to us initially by personal recommendations from our many satisfied customers who have purchased from us either following our participation in many Craft Fayres, or through our select stockists. To enable us to better satisfy the demand for our designs, we launched our website in early 2006. It is best to contact us by email through the Contact Us link at the top of each page. All our jewellery is individually hand-made by specialist craftspeople, only using the best quality fasteners, posts and fittings. Our jewellery can be made with either 14ct gold, gold-filled, sterling silver or plated metal clasps, according to your personal taste or your budget. We offer pearls and stones for every occasion from our extensive jewellery collection. Customers come to us for quality, affordability and our wide variety of products and designs. Every pearl we offer is a genuine natural or cultured pearl, imported from the pearl farms of southern China where the expertise to produce the finest pearl has been passed down over the generations. Whatever shape, colour or size our customers require we supply only the finest quality. All our pearls are real - either natural or cultivated - but never imitation. Natural pearls are formed when a particle squeezes into the shell of an oyster. Gradually over the years this tiny 'bead' grows and is transformed into a lustrous pearl. Cultured pearls consist of nacre or mother-of-pearl. In this case a mother-of-pearl bead is introduced into the pearl oyster. Over time the oyster deposits layers of nacre around the bead until a pearl is formed. The most highly-prized pearls are spherical. These have been cultured successfully since the 1920's. In contrast, widely available pearls can now be made using advanced techniques, but these can never capture the beauty of natural or cultivated pearls. |
